The
winter season is upon us and with all of the cold and snow will
come a new line of fashionable clothing. Winter clothes are fun
because they are so versatile. Winter offers much more choices in
attire than summer, meaning your choices in style are endless.
This year’s clothing is especially hot! Popular looks are
military as well as western inspired. Camouflage and army green
will be seen on anything from shirts and pants to jackets and scarves.
Metallics and faux furs will also make a comeback this season. So
what are the must-haves for your winter wardrobe? Check out some
suggestions below.
Whether you live in milder temperatures like those of California
or extreme cold like that of Maine or New York, everybody needs
a winter jacket. The style of which should take into consideration
your environment as well as the length of time you spend outside
in that environment. If you spend a lot of time outdoors, you will
want a jacket that is wind and water resistant to protect you from
the elements. Consider getting one with a removable liner so that
you can wear it on colder and warmer days alike. If, on the other
hand, you only venture outdoors occasionally, you can choose a jacket
that will keep you warm and fashionable at the same time. Choose
one that is flattering to your body shape and fits well. Tapered
coats have a nice slimming effect and look good on everybody. A
classic style in a basic color is a good investment because it will
last you through many winters, even as trends and fashions change.
The use of accessories can help to give you a trendy, up-to-the-minute
look if that is what you desire.
Accessories will warm up your winter clothes with style. A scarf
gives you an extra layer of warmth and fashion. Try a soft chenille
fabric for a timeless look that feels great next to your skin. Gloves
add an elegant touch to your attire while keeping your fingers protected
from the elements. If you are active in winter sports, you will
want thick gloves that are more for function than fashion. But for
everyday use, simple gloves that allow you plenty of flexibility
are perfect. Isotoner gloves are an all time favorite for their
classic look and designer feel.
Layers are a great way to keep warm while allowing for rising temperatures.
As the weather heats up, simply remove extra layers and you can
stay comfortable all day long. Sweaters are a winter favorite and
make great layers of insulation under your coat and over a tee shirt
or blouse.
Don’t neglect your feet this winter season. Boots are the
hottest item out there in winter clothes. Stilettos and pointy toes
are a popular look this season, but flats are making a comeback
as well. Whether you like the classic look of leather or the modern
look of suede and faux fur, you are sure to find a boot that you
will look forward to wearing every winter.
Shopping for winter clothes can be lots of fun and with all of
the choices available to you, it is sure to keep you busy. So bundle
up, grab a friend and some hot cocoa and get ready for fashion fun
shopping frenzy!
