Flying
saucers? Teacup saucers? No! Sledding saucers! If you have ever
felt the thrill of sliding down a slick, snowy hill on one of those
plastic, bowl-shaped saucers, you know how truly awesome they are!
Saucers usually come in a few different sizes, whether you want
them to be for individuals, kids or for two people.
Depending on how comfortable you wnat the ride down to be, you
can find saucers with either the simple, plastic surface, or add
specialized tubes that soak up some of the impact, and lessen the
jouncing!
Some people prefer the bowl shape of saucers to the typical straight,
rectangular sled shape. This is because they can sit and cross their
legs, hold onto the edges, and feel secure. Turning is much easier,
as you merely lean to the side.
However, others find that the tendency to spin, due to the sperically
shaped bottom, can be frustrating. Kids usually do not care what
style of sled they are riding, as long as it casts down that hill
and is relatively light to carry back up!
Saucers do just that, and are one of the simplest models of the
sledding market, one of the least expensive, and the most available.
So enjoy hopping on those saucers; take the whole family out the
local hill for a day of sledding and having fun in the snow.
Don't forget to have a warm meal or mug of something delicious
and warm when you are finished!
